NEW and IMPROVED    Reversible Swing Wrenches

P/N 716SWINGREV $70.00
P/N 3/8SWINGREV  $70.00
P/N 516SWINGREV $70.00

These reversible swing wrenches are an improvement over our other wrenches. We are using the reversible
Gearwrench brand so when you get into a tight spot and can't get the wrench off the nut or bolt you can simply flip the reversing lever and back out of an otherwise time consuming and frustrating situation.
T-handles are made from stainless steel.
And yes, I have been there when removing a fuel control. I backed the nut off too far to remove my wrench.. That's what I get for talking to the guy on the other side of the motor and not paying attention.

 Available in metric sizes also.
We use the Gearwrench brand on all our swing wrenches

Contact us if you require a different size.

$1975.00

Not much to say about this item. I think everyone knows what it's for.

Engine Wash Bottle
P/N ENGWASH
$325.00

This is a stainless, 2 1/2 gallon bottle that has been used by all the major operators in the Gulf of Mexico
for the last 45 years to my knowledge.
I have replaced the short stock hose with 7 ft of high quality chemical resistant hose and included all brass
connectors that are attached to the compressor water wash line. The internal plastic pick up tube would deteriorate when using the strong compressor wash chemicals so it has been replaced with a 1/2" copper tube.
It comes with a pressure gauge installed and is serviced with water or chem wash by unscrewing the knurled nut, filling to the desired level and pressurizing with a common tire chuck.
Engine wash can be done by one person due to the 7 ft hose installed.
Connect to the water wash line, pull the ignitor CB, hit the starter and squeeze the handle.
When using for a fresh water rinse you should get 5-6 washes before refilling.
It can be used with any a/c having a compressor wash line installed.

Picture
Engine Wash Bottles With Manifold For Soap and Water Rinse
P/N ENGWASHX2
$815.00

Dual wash bottle set up. One bottle has your soap solution and the other has the water rinse.
One hose hooks to the a/c and you select soap or water by opening or closing the corresponding valve.

Obviously a hand cart would be handy to have. Your local welding shop has oxy-acetylene bottle carts
or you can get a small, light one from Northern Tools using their p/n 58702 or 96347. Both are about $120.00 plus shipping to us
Harbor Freight also has one listed under p/n 65939 for about $60.00 with no shipping due to local purchase.
I checked out the one at Harbor Freight and it looks sufficient enough for a couple eng wash bottles.
We can supply a cart from either Northern or HF but you will have to do the assembly.
Some type of bracket will be needed to attach the manifold. If we supply the cart we can fab some type of bracket  for an additional charge.

206L4 & 407 Kaflex Mounting Wrench
P/N 206KWR
$85.00 each

P/N 407KWR
$85.00 each

If you have ever installed a Kaflex drive shaft, you know how its practically impossible to actually torque them. We designed these wrenches so you could stop using that calibrated elbow and properly torque them with a torque wrench.

The one on the left is for an L4 and the one on the right is for a 407. L1's and L3's from our experience can be torqued using a regular torque adapter.

Picture
Bell 206, 407 and 429  Portable Hydraulic Pump Pressure Supply
P/N 407PHM
$2150.00

Remove the hydraulic pump from the transmission with the hoses still connected and bolt hydraulic pump to the red pump pressure supply. Plug in the Makita to 110v, and presto, you have hydraulic power.

The Makita is driven by a soft start, 5 speed, variable speed drive (you won't find these at your local department store). You can finally lay to rest that huge hydraulic mule leaking in the corner of the hangar.

Hydraulic pump obviously not included. Comes with a case pictured below. You will need to provide a scrap shaft for us to complete the pump.

RENTAL: $350 a week.

Picture
P/N 67541 OR 20546 OR THE 407 SHAFTS SHOWN TO THE RIGHT ARE NEEDED FOR COMPLETION.
Picture

Unserviceable tach generators and/or hyd pump driveshafts are needed to

complete the above portable hyd pump drive. I need tach gen's

p/n 206-076-373-001 or 206-375-202-101. Also hyd pump shafts from the

206L models p/n 67541 or 20546 or the 407 type
shafts shown such as

407-340-107-101.

Don't throw them in the trash. I will purchase your unserviceable tach/gens

and shafts. You can grind a spot on the large part of the shafts so they are

unserviceable.

Tach gen's are preferable and will be disassembled to the point they will

never fly again. They must have an internal spline in fair condition.

I will purchase or trade a work aid valued at the same general value.

Let me know what you have and we will make a deal.

Rolls-Royce 250 Ratcheting Open-End Fuel-Control Swing Wrench
P/N 250FCW
$60.00 (1 only, either T-handle or barrel handle)

Ratcheting open end swing wrench designed to remove that pesky upper 5/16 nut on the fuel control. With a slow and steady control of the swing wrench, I was able to remove the upper nut in approximately three minutes. Compare that to the last time you tried removing that upper 5/16 nut with a regular wrench!  You can pick the handle style you prefer: T-handle or barrel.

Picture
407 Expandable Blade Bolt Inspection Work Aid
P/N 407EBI
$75.00

Expandable blade bolts require 600 hour or 12 month inspection. Those inspections require removing the segments on the expandable bolts and inspecting for corrosion and wear. This work aid assists by maintaining all the segments in the proper order. Instructions can be found in the 407 maintenance manual in chapter 62.

Picture
Rolls-Royce 250 Fuel Nozzle Shimming Gauge

$35.00 ea

Hard to find 1/4" drive torque adapters. Most torque adapters you will find are 3/8" drive. These will allow you to use that low torque 1/4" torque wrench without the 3/8" to 1/4" adapter.

will see what we can do. Pricing will depend on the wrench size.

Picture
206/407 Bolt Extractor
P/N XPRESS
$190.00

This work aid lets you apply pressure to the bolt while applying penetrating lube. Once the bolt pops loose it can easily be removed. Pressure is applied to the bolt and not to the tail boom fitting. Cracked fittings require tail boom removal at lots of expense.

Also works well on the many control bolts found throughout the aircraft.

407 Torque Reactor Pin
P/N 407TMPA
$410.00

Used with your choice of a 4-1 or 3-1 torque multiplier.

407 back up pin in use. Let the torque multiplier bump up against the pin to hold backup.

Pictured is our old style Garolite pin. The new one is aluminum and powder coated red.

No more holding the sump button until your finger feels like it is going to fall off while trying to get the last bit of unusable fuel drained. P/N KaFlex
$120.00
This is the easiest and fastest way to R&R 206L and 407 KaFlex shafts.
Simply make 2 wraps on the d/shaft passing through the holes in the aluminum rods, tie a granny knot and twist the rods until the cord starts to tighten. Tighten just enough to slip the shaft out.
I'm posting a pic below of the cord installed and will post a link at a later date to a video showing how it is done. Contact me by text or email for a very amateur video until then.

Disclaimer: This is a work aid and may not be accepted by some operations. Mechanics love this because it works so well but your shop may insist on using only approved tooling. Use caution to not over compress the springs.

Swing Wrenches -  Mechanic Favorites
P/N 716BSWING $60.00
P/N 3/8BSWING  $60.00
P/N 516BSWING $60.00

Don't buy bulky swing wrenches from tool trucks made from the old ratcheting dog bone wrenches that were great 40 years ago. Ours are made with the slimmer profile Gearwrench ratcheting boxends. Rotor brakes, flight controls in the tailboom, or fuel controls will now be a breeze. Hundreds of other uses (home or work).

Contact us if you require a different size.

We use the Gearwrench brand on all our swing wrenches

Picture
407 Frahm Damper Work Aid Set
P/N 407FDS
$105.00

Frahm Damper bolt set for changing the damper springs. Screw the bolts into position as per the manual. Slip the aluminum plates into position between the center weights and the holes where the bolts exit. Tighten the all threads with a 3/8" wrench on the coupling nuts. They will stick out a couple threads and bottom out on the aluminum plate. The plate is to keep the rods from damaging the weights and serve to jam the rods tight so they don't back out. Run the 7/16" nuts down using the long socket mounted to a cordless drill or air ratchet. Remove the 4 bolts holding the outer plate and then back off the 7/16" nut which releases tension on the springs. Remove the top cover plate and change the springs. Reassemble. You probably know more about this than I do. This makes changing springs a whole lot faster because you can now use your drill or air ratchet instead of a ratcheting box end. Next time we find a broken spring I'll take some pics of everything in place and post it here. I'm not working on a/c any more so maybe one of you guys could send a pick of this kit installed for me to show here. It would be appreciated.

407 Transmission Corner Mount Nut Socket 25/32
P/N 4072532
$24.00

Why Bell would decide to use a 25/32" socket on the transmission corner mount we will never know. They are not very common but we found a supplier that has the 1/2" drive, 12 point deep socket that works great. We have this socket for less than what you are going to pay on the tool truck. Why not get the right socket for less money?

90* Grease Coupler
P/N HWA5883      $16.00

I recently found this 90 degree grease coupler that works great on hard to access grease fittings.
Works really well on the oil cooler blower bearings on the Bell 407. It slides on from the side when straight on access
is difficult or next to impossible.
