Frequently asked
QUESTIONS
Q. Do you ship outside of the United States?
A. Yes, we prefer to use regular postal service since it is the cheapest route, but we can also send via FedEx and UPS. DHL is unfortunately unavailable in our area.
Q. What guarantees do you offer on your work aids?
A. Lifetime! If you break it, we will replace it. Even if it was abused and misused. All we ask is that you provide us with a picture of the problem and how it occurred. This way we can learn if there is a problem with our work aid and correct future ones.
Q. What if I don't need the work aid I purchased from you?
A. Return it! If you purchase a work aid from us and you realize you didn't need it, you can return it for a refund. Also, if you simply don't like it, you can return it. We just ask that you let us know why you didn't like the work aid. We pride ourselves on our customer service. Do you get that from the other guys?
Q. There is no shopping cart. How do I order?
A. In our contact form, state the items you are interested in and leave your email and/or a phone number. We will then contact you to let you know we received your order and give you an approximate time frame of when you can expect the order to be shipped. Once completed, we will email you a picture of your order. After payment is received, we will then ship your order. Also, when you contact us, please let us know how you learned about us!
Q. Do you stock your work aids, or do you make them when ordered?
A. Yes and yes. We stock many items. Some of the more expensive and time consuming work aids may need to be manufactured.
We don't have 3-4 month lead times like some of the big guys.
Q. What forms of payment do you accept?
A. We prefer the green paper type, however, if that is not the best option for you then we accept major credit cards such as Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover. We also accept Paypal and bank wire transfers. Remember, we will only charge you once your order is completed.
Q. Can you paint the work aids another color?
A. Yes. Our work aids are powder coated. We prefer to use black and red. Black doesn't show dirt and red is easy to locate. But if you would like another color, we have a small selection that you can choose from. We even have colors with glitter!
Q. Why do you call it work aids and not tools?
A. A tool is an item REQUIRED to perform a task. A torque wrench or some type of go-no go gauge is a tool. A work aid is tooling or a device used for making a task easier or simpler, but NOT required for successful accomplishment of that task. A regular wrench or screwdriver, in aviation, is technically a work aid and not a tool. Work aids are almost always simple in design and function. The best ones are found on this site.
Q. I am having a problem but you don't make a work aid for it. Can you help me out?
A. YES! We would love to hear about the issue you are having. We do have limited fabrication capabilities but would love to try and solve your problem!
Q. Why isn't the site streamlined?
A. Ha! Well, we're helicopter mechanics, not web designers!
Q. Your work aids are awesome, it has made my life so much easier. Can I buy you lunch?
A. Of course! Let us know where you are located, and when we make it to your neck of the woods, we will be sure to remind you about your offer to us!
Q. Voces falam Portugues?
A. Sim! O Jay casou com uma Brasileira, e os dois filhos nasceram no Brasil. Todos falam portugues fluentemente.
Q. Habla Espanol?
A. Si, pero solamente Joseph.
